Dr. Antoinette Chamoun
Dr. Chamoun was born and raised in Edmonton and is also a Pacific University, College of Optometry alumnus, graduating in 2016. Prior to working at Lendrum Eyecare, she practiced full-scope optometry in Minnesota. During optometry school, Dr. Chamoun was an ocular disease teaching assistant, which sparked her interest in ocular disease and dry eye. Dr. Chamoun’s clinical externships allowed her to train with several specialty sites, including the following: a cataract/LASIK surgical center, a contact-lens specialty clinic, the VA in Lexington, KY, and at Fort Washakie IHS in Fort Washakie, WY. Dr. Chamoun practices full-scope optometry including the treatment of dry eye, ocular disease, and the fitting of contact lenses.
Although Dr. Chamoun has traveled across the United States (and beyond!), she is excited to be back home. She enjoys taking in live music, hiking, and experimenting in the kitchen.
Renae hails from Vancouver Island. She has previously worked in an Opthalmology environment and also spent 17 years in the hearing aid industry. Renae has many years of providing exceptional client service experience and hopes that everyone that visits Lendrum Eyecare receives outstanding personalized care.
Renae loves to spend time outdoors, paddle boarding, golfing and skating. She and her husband have grown children and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
Chantel is from Northern Alberta, however, has lived all over the world including South East Asia. She finally moved back to Edmonton in 2018 to complete her doctorate in Anthropology. Throughout her university years, Chantel has worked at multiple optometric practices and has over six years of experience working with everything from lens manufacturing to fitting complex prescriptions. Passionate about vision, she has made it her goal to ensure that every patient leaves ecstatic knowing that their glasses not only look good, but are also the best possible choice for their lifestyle. She is also currently enrolled in an Optical Sciences program at NAIT for her Optician certification. Chantel also loves good, challenging frame repairs and troubleshooting lenses.
When not at work, Chantel’s favourite thing to do is spending time exploring Alberta with her husband and eight-year-old son.
Frame Stylist & Optometric Assistant
Chelsea was born in Medicine Hat and moved to Edmonton in 2017 for higher education and a change of pace. She is currently enrolled at MacEwan University, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree. As a glasses-wearer since the age of 9, her interest in the optical field came naturally. Chelsea’s favourite part of working in the optical industry is working with patients to find the perfect frame that not only fits their fashion preferences but also brings out the best in their facial features.
Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys live music with her friends, walking in the ravine with her dog, Ivy, and watching her favourite tv shows.
Receptionist & Pretester
Olga was born and raised here in Edmonton. She previously worked as a preschool teacher for 15 years; she, therefore, has lots of experience with children, including with special needs. Olga decided she wanted a career change and started at Lendrum Eyecare with us. Even though Olga is new to Optometry, she is learning more about glasses and eye health every day. Olga enjoys interacting with patients and helping them feel at home in our clinic. Watch for her bright and welcoming smile when you walk through our doors!
Outside of work, Olga loves to spend time with her husband, their two daughters, and friends.
Dr. Kelsey Ford graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2000. In 2003, Dr. Ford moved to Edmonton with her husband Dr. Michael Joljart to start their family. Their son Gibson was born in 2003 and their daughter Sydney joined the family in 2004.
Dr. Ford was seeing patients part-time in the Edmonton area since 2003 but decided to open Lendrum Eyecare in 2012 as a way to better serve the needs of her patients. Answering questions and helping patients understand their exam is a passion of Dr. Ford’s.
Dr. Ford is dedicated to keeping her patient’s eyes healthy and seeing well – this means staying up to date on current medical trends. She has studied under the OMNI eye services in Chattanooga, Tennessee for advanced eye disease. The rotation included Glaucoma, Cataracts, and Macular Degeneration evaluation.
Dr. Ford and her family decided to move to Victoria, BC so it will be easier to connect with her parents who are facing health challenges, and be with her children while they attend school.
She decided to transition the operations and ownership of all three clinics to her dear friend and colleague Dr. Natasha Randhawa. The clinics are in great hands and the support Natasha has shown Dr. Ford’s family through 2021 has been tremendous and speaks to the generous human that she is.
Dr. Antoinette Chamoun will be expanding her practice at Lendrum Eyecare and the team of excellent Optometrists at the other clinics will take good care of all your eye care needs. Thank you for all of your continued support for Dr. Ford’s clinics over the years.
